The Name Of The Game was Touch At First Round Of Trials

Bayonne, NJ -  New Jersey Teamsters kicked off their first round of trials for their pro team this weekend. Sixty-six players from around the country came to showcase their skills in front of Coach Javier Romero and the rest of the staff.

With training camp coming up in September, the team had it’s eye on players that demonstrated a certain level of poise with the ball, quickness, and power.

“Feeling excited today about the tryouts, and looking for players with speed, strength and ability of controlling the ball” said Coach Javier.

The format of the tryouts included three separate games of 11 versus 11 to simulate that real game feel. Under the blazing noon sun, coaches got to see which players were truly in shape and had the drive to compete professionally.

Both days included some great plays. It was clear though that for the second round of trials in two weeks, players who want to make the team will have to focus on touch and chemistry.
