ONBOARD: International Pro Soccer Consultant Joost de Wit Joins NJTFC Board of Advisors

by Media Dept.

NJ Teamsters FC (NJTFC) is pleased to announce our latest addition to our Board of Advisors, Joost de Wit, BSc, MBA. Joost is a former semi-professional soccer player, trainer and coach; and is an experienced international consultant for several professional soccer organizations, including NJTFC. He's also a consultant for UEFA ASSIST projects and a adjunct professor at Johan Cruyff Institute for Sports Studies in Amsterdam and Barcelona

President & General Manager Alex Geraldino explains,

"As NJTFC continues to build a strong front office group, adding Joost de Wit to the board makes sense since he's already our consultant. Joost has the capabilities that will help put the organization in a position to not only win on the pitch but most importantly, off the pitch."

After a successful career as a mechanical engineer and international project manager, de Wit opened a project management company in 2000. In 2008, Joost decided to follow his passion in soccer and became a project manager at PSV Eindhoven Youth Academy and after 2-years, was CEO at RKC Waalwijk. Football clubs took notice of his ability to effectively manage the smallest budget in the league and win at the Dutch Eredivisie playoffs for the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), which was no small feat.
By May 2013, Joost accepted the position of CEO at Vitesse Arnhem and under his tutelage, the team won the KNVB Cup in 2017 which was the first ever championship win in the club’s 125-year history! Over a span of 6-years, Vitesse played 4 seasons in UEFA and in 2018 the club experienced prosperous financial results. Joost says,
"I see big opportunities for NJTFC and look forward to advising Sibrena and Alex on their mission of having a succesful professional soccer club in the USA."

As we prepare for National Independent Soccer Association's (NISA) 2021 pro season, it is imperative to have a stellar front office and technical staff. Under Joost's guidance, we anticipate great results for the team. Welcome aboard!
