NJTeamsters FC is hosting a Virtual Co-Ed Youth Soccer Camp

by Ahmadou Gueye

Bayonne, New Jersey - NJ Teamsters FC will be hosting our first 5-week Virtual Co-Ed Youth Soccer Camp starting August 3, 2020 - September 1, 2020. Classes will be held Monday 7pm to 7:45pm for U15-17 and Tuesday from 7pm to 7:45pm for U12-U14

Our goal is to develop and improve the soccer skills of young players who couldn’t train due to to COVID-19 quarantine. Virtual camp will consist of fitness and ball control meant to help one’s touch, speed and other technical skills. At the end of each 5-week camp, players will receive an  evaluation report detailing strengths, weaknesses and how the player responds to direction.

For 45 minutes, players will perform workouts and drills that are designed to be done at home, in tight spaces. Players must have a few items of equipment which includes a soccer ball, six cones plus all players are required to be in uniform, just as if we are on the pitch so, black shorts, NJ Teamsters FC performance top and white socks, and appropriate footwear is necessary. If cones are not available, players can grab mama’s bean cans to improvise!

Head coach Javier Romero stresses the importance of always having touches on the ball. This clinic will focus on repetition and movement meant to translate on the pitch, allowing you to maneuver tight places and escape challenges. Players will get familiar with NJ Teamsters FC’s methodology.

NJ Teamsters FC is one of the few professional clubs in the United States to create and utilize virtual training. Our colleagues at UEFA have been successful at using virtual training courses to tune up players' skills and engage with their fan base.

The camp cost for 5-weeks is $75. Bayonne High School’s varsity and junior varsity soccer players will receive half-off when they use discount code: Bayonne HS.

Limited spots are available, let’s get our youth back on the ball and prepared to “Stand Ready To Strike!” Register now!
